Thin Places

One of the kids loves a certain animated movie about K-pop idols who hunt demons, and when her favorite stories went quiet for a few weeks, the house made her a new one. Thin Places is a six-chapter novella set after the film, drafted one chapter per session and checked by three editors (facts, voice, and a stand-in teenage reader) before anyone moved on. Each chapter has an illustrated plate drawn entirely in code, and the whole thing ships as one file you can read on a phone.

The credits page lists the whole studio, down to an honorary seventeen-year-old reader editor. It was made for one reader, and it's only for her, so you won't find the book here. Just the story of how it was made.
